Estados Unidos alerta a China contra ataque a las Filipinas y menciona que de empezar las operaciones en el mar sur del china haría efectivo el tratado de defensa entre Estados Unidos y FIlipinas firmado en 1951.
En él se menciona que cada parte reconoce que algún atque en el Pacífico representaría un peligro para la paz y la seguridad de las partes y lo reconocerán como peligros comunes.
